The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation was formally launched as a government agency in 1999. The OTMPC's purpose is to collaborate with tourism partners and colleagues at home and internationally to develop and deliver exciting, integrated, research-driven marketing programs that establish Ontario as a premier, four-season destination. OTMPC brings together the expertise and resources of the province's marketing team and works with tourism operators in a unique and exciting private/public sector partnership. Annual Report
OTMPC publishes an annual report in accordance with the Ontario government's Agency Establishment and Accountability Directive.
Committees
Industry-nominated Product and Market committees work with OTMPC staff to develop product and marketing strategies. Committee members represent a broad range of tourism operations - from major attractions and independently owned businesses, to large chains and franchises. The committees are your representatives with insights and ideas to support your marketing needs.
Board of Directors
OTMPC reports to a Board of Directors which, in turn, is accountable to the Ministry of Tourism and Culture. The Board of Directors objectively directs OTMPC's overall strategies and operations by providing leadership, maintaining accountability for results-based program delivery, and facilitating marketing programs of government and private stakeholders. The Board also has broad policy powers to approve budgets, as well as business and marketing plans.
Board Members are appointed to one of four committees - the Executive Committee, Nominations Committee, the Market Performance Assessment Committee (MPAC) or the Finance and Audit Committee.
Media Relations
OTMPC creates resources for the media covering various Ontario travel experiences. You'll find everything in the Media Relations section.
Marketing
Tourism has become one of the fastest growing business sectors in Ontario and the world. OTMPC was created in response to this trend. Just three years after our official launch, the success of our marketing campaigns proves that private/public sector partnerships can compete in a global market.
