The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) is a unique public-private partnership established by the Ontario government in April 1999 to provide a vehicle to support the tourism industry by promoting Ontario as a tourism destination in a highly competitive market.
The mandate of the Corporation is to: - Market Ontario as a travel destination
- Undertake joint marketing initiatives with the tourism industry
- Provide a leadership role in supporting and assisting the marketing efforts of the tourism industry
- Promote Ontario as a travel destination, in co-operation with the tourism industry, the Government of Ontario, other governments and other agencies of government
OTMPC has a mission: to grow Ontario's tourism sector year-round by stimulating increased consumer spending and visits and by generating greater partner participation. OTMPC will work strategically, proactively and collaboratively with the tourism industry to market Ontario as a travel destination in key markets. By working to improve continuously and evolve as a successful public-private partnership, OTMPC plays a key role in strengthening Ontario's tourism economy and establishing Ontario as a premier four-season destination.
